Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the QR & Barcode Scanner Pro mobile application ("App") operated by us ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QR & Barcode Scanner Pro, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your personal Android device for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3. Usage Rules

When using the App, you agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose.
• Scan QR codes or barcodes with the intent to harm others, distribute malware, or engage in phishing.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App.
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices or labels on the App.
• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the App in an unauthorized manner.
• Circumvent any security features, access controls, or usage limitations of the App.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or any part thereof without our written consent.

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• Verifying the accuracy and safety of content obtained through scanned QR codes and barcodes before taking any action.
• Any transactions, payments, or communications initiated through scanned UPI QR codes or payment links.
• Maintaining the security of your device and account credentials.
• Complying with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
• Using security features (such as dangerous link detection) as an aid, not a substitute for your own judgment.

5. Security Features Disclaimer

Our App includes security features such as dangerous URL detection, suspicious QR alerts, and fake UPI detection. While we strive to provide accurate and helpful security analysis:

• These features are provided on a best-effort basis and may not detect all threats.
• No security system is foolproof. False positives and false negatives may occur.
• You should always exercise caution before opening links, making payments, or sharing personal information.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF SCAN RESULTS.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.
• Scan results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your intended purpose.
• Security features will detect all malicious, fraudulent, or harmful content.
• Third-party content accessed through scanned codes will be safe or legitimate.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE, OUR AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
• Financial losses from payments made via scanned UPI or payment QR codes.
• Damages resulting from malware, phishing, or fraud accessed through scanned content.
• Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the App.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, icons, and content, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written permission.

QR & Barcode Scanner Pro and associated logos are our trademarks. All other trademarks appearing in the App are the property of their respective owners.

9. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

If the App offers in-app purchases or subscriptions (such as an ad-free premium version), those purchases are processed through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Google Play policy.

10. Third-Party Content & Links

The App may display or link to third-party content, websites, or services accessed through scanned QR codes. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for any third-party content. Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and the third party.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable local laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
